Building on Origin — Announcing our partnership with Origin Protocol

Galaxy eSolutions (‘GES’), a hybrid e-commerce ecosystem in the pre-owned and refurbished economy, is extremely pleased to announce that we will be integrating GES decentralized C2B/B2B platform with the Origin Protocol to further our mission of a fair and efficient blockchain-powered marketplace.

This will allow GES to keep running its centralized B2C platform (which already has good traction) without disruption to business and gradually evolve into a marketplace which consistencies in product quality and customer experiences are of utmost importance. On the other hand, develop the decentralized C2B/B2B part on blockchain to resolve the several critical industry pain points, such as high cross-border transaction fees, fraudulent cases, inconsistencies in product versions, and tracking of product movements etc.

Origin Protocol enables both traditional marketplaces and fractional-use or sharing economy marketplaces to function in a completely distributed way using Ethereum and IPFS. We are excited to be building on the Origin platform and collaborating with the talented Origin development team, which is based in San Francisco. Origin is a highly pedigreed company — they are backed by Pantera Capital, working with ConsenSys, and the founders have a long track record of success.

Partnering with Origin and their development team will allow us to get to market faster and the shared network effects of being an Origin partner will make user acquisition and adoption easier.
